What We Do
Lectors are trained lay people who proclaim the sacred Scripture at mass with skill, reverence and understanding. Lectors carry the Book of the Gospels in the entrance procession and proclaim the first and second readings. Parishioners in sixth grade and up are welcome to take part in this ministry. Lectors are scheduled with the other liturgical ministers seasonally using Ministry Scheduler Pro. The parish provides training for people who are interested in becoming Lectors.
