Venezuela Mission Information

The Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis has staffed and supported parishes in the diocese of Ciudad Guayana in Venezuela since 1970. These "Did you know?" papers are designed to give you a better understanding of life in Venezuela and to strengthen connections between the parishes of the Archdiocese and their Archdiocesan Mission during our 50th anniversary year. Catholic Charities of St. Paul and Minneapolis

Catholic Charities of St. Paul and Minneapolis: A comprehensive resource to find help for those in need.

The mission of Catholic Charities is to serve those most in need and to advocate for justice in the community.

Men, women, children and families, just like all of us, come to Catholic Charities during some of the hardest times in their lives. The darkness of abuse, illness, homelessness, hunger.

Simply put, it is the mission of Catholic Charities to be there in those darkest, hardest moments to provide help and hope for a better future.

NET Ministries challenges young Catholics to love Christ and embrace the life of the Church. Every August, 175 young Catholics aged 18-28 leave behind their jobs, school, family, and friends to devote nine months to serving with the National Evangelization Teams (NET).

NET Ministries fulfills its mission by:

  • Proclaiming the Gospel of Christ through a personal witness of faith

  • Inviting young people to live for Christ

  • Forming young people in Christian character through the study and practice of their faith

  • Equipping youth workers and young adults with the ministry skills needed for evangelization

NET Ministries is under the ecclesiastical vigilance of the Archbishop of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. NET is a nonprofit organization incorporated in the state of Minnesota funded through individual donations, program fees and grants and is governed by a national board of directors.

Knights of Columbus: A fraternal men’s organization based on the founding principles of charity, unity and fraternity. The Knights was formed to render financial aid to members and their families.
