Liturgy at the Church of Saint Patrick

The first purpose of liturgy is to worship God and proclaim the good news.  Good liturgy enables conversion or transformation when the Holy Spirit moves within our midst.  As an assembly of baptized Christians, we at the Church of Saint Patrick strive to do liturgy –which means “the work of the people”- in a manner that expresses our theology  as well as shapes our spirituality.

With music, symbols, rituals, scripture and silence,  our Eucharistic liturgy celebrates the reign of God in our midst, calling us to the banquet feast of word and Eucharist  so that we might carry the presence of Christ into the world.  Hearts, minds, bodies and souls are touched through good liturgy.

The Church of Saint Patrick has a long tradition of vibrant liturgies.  Our music is a reflection of the richness of the gathered community.  A variety of individuals, choirs and instrumentalists lead the “primary choir” –the assembly”- the community of faith.  You are invited to participate in any of the following liturgical ministries. Contact Sister Rosemary Desmond at 651-455-6624.
